ARTIST BIO
The fog of memory, magical places, lost love and solitude are the subjects of Jimmy Bleyer's emotional mixed media works. Handcrafting panels from carefully chosen woods, Jimmy uses acrylic, ink, spray paint and more to create tightly executed pop images. Romantic, bizarre and mysterious, his recent work examines the metaphors culled from his dreams and stream-of-consciousness writing.
In addition to his residency at the Hive Gallery, he is a regular fixture at art events and galleries across Southern California, most notably Cannibal Flower, Create:Fixate, Volkarts Collective, Hyaena Gallery, Truxtop Gallery and Monkeyhouse Toys.
